| Capitol City Lighthouse Charter School to Host Community Forum |

| Capitol City Lighthouse, an open-enrollment charter school proposed for North Little Rock, will host a community meeting on Tuesday, August 5th at 6:30 pm at the North Little Rock Junior League E.O. Manees House (216 West 4th Street). Mike Ronan, founder of Lighthouse Academies,will be on hand to discuss Lighthouse and his vision for Capitol City, as well as answer questions. The school, projected to open for the 2015-16 school year, will be a K-12 model, initially serving grades K-6, approximately 344 students in year one. The school will add one grade, 50 students each year, for a maximum enrollment of 544 students in grades K-10 in the first five years. The purpose of the school, and of all Lighthouse schools, is to prepare our students for college through a rigorous arts-infused program. Our vision is that all students will be taught by a highly effective teacher in a nurturing environment. Every student will achieve at high levels and develop the knowledge and values necessary for responsible citizenship and lifelong learning.
